My Heart, you can keep.

See, I love you like the sun loves the moon:
When my heart sinks, it rises for you.
Not soft pitter-patter either, like birds in the blue.
A fierce beating drum, like thunder that grew.
Each strum of my blood, a pulse of my heart.
It runs like a river; your soul is my path.

I leave it in clouds; they fog you in sleep.
You may not know now, but it all comes from me.
See, I yearn to know you like my sky learned your sea.
Once in a lifetime, only once to be.
Familiarity is not your blessing
but rather a gift stripped from trees.
Where once we were the moon and stars,
now you have blossomed, and I long to see.
I know not who you are, just who you have been.
A boy, like a flower, grew thick into bleak.
Yet, i still send my bees, they support where I am weak.
I still love you, my sunshine, that will always be

-stitched into our Earth, my heart, you can keep.

For I love you like the moon loves the sun:
Victim to your shadow, but not wanting to run.
